As a blizzard surges, the gates of Argot dungeon thrust open and a girl flees into the wilderness, only to be captured by the cursed prince she sought to escape. She is Serese, the youngest daughter in a line of powerful enchantresses. A stubborn girl who prefers racing her mare to needlework and dancing. He is Lord Forn, part elf and stolen by the same sorceress who murdered his parents. He resists the mind-spell he is caught in but only a potion made by Serese can cure him. Their love is destined by the ancients. Their reign will be one of terror or one of benevolence. The answer lies with Serese as she embarks on her perilous quest. Evil creatures thwart her but an enchanted wolf, a mysterious boy and a magical opal offer her aid. Against a medieval, icy, kingdom, a battle of good versus evil ensues as a young girl discovers her heart is bigger and her will is stronger than she ever imagined.
